Shawn Winters, Co-Owner

Shawn was born and raised in Tillsonburg and joined the Vernes Carpet One team in 1996. He’s married with two children and enjoys playing guitar in his free time. He’s the co-organizer of the Tillsonburg AGM (Amateur Guitarists & Musicians), which provides opportunities for aspiring musicians to perform at various venues.

Annie Thiessen, Accounting & Administration

Annie joined Carpet One in March of 2019 and handles administrative and purchasing duties. She was born in Ontario and spent her youth traveling. While she’s observed and lived in different cultures around the world, from Bolivia to Mexico, the North has always been home. Annie enjoys reading science-fiction in her free time, along with finding the perfect breakfast place, and spending time with her siblings and niblings.

Michael Herbus, Retail & Commercial Sales

Michael recently moved to Tillsonburg in 2018 after a 6-year volunteer assignment in Mexico City. He handles sales and you’ll likely meet him out on the showroom floor, where he’s happy to guide you through our products and help you find what you need. Michael is married with two children, enjoys volunteerism, and has a long history of supporting adults with disabilities.
